Georgia’s Government has come with the initiative to offer entrepreneurship as a required course secondary school.

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili believed entrepreneurship could be taught and leaned like any other subjects in the school curriculum and pupils would gain additional business skills.

"Entrepreneurial studies as a secondary school subject has the possibility of encouraging some students to become entrepreneurs after graduating from school,” Garibashvili said at today’s Governmental meeting.

The strategic document for teaching pupils entrepreneurial studies titled "Create the Future” has already been prepared by the Ministry of Education and Science.

Initially, the project will be piloted in 100 schools across the country in 2014-2015 years. Pupils on the 11thclass will study the subject.

The project will be implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Georgia’s Chamber of Commerce.
