Foreign Ministry of Georgia is not informed about President Saakashvili’s meetings in Europe

According to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani, the Ministry was not informed about President's meeting in Europe.

"We were informed about the visit from our Embassy in Brussels, after which we contacted the Presidents Administration. We were aware of the visit, but we are not informed of the meetings, as the Foreign Ministry has not taken any part in their preparation Zalkaliani said.

Georgias outgoing President Mikheil Saakashvili and Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava went to the Tbilisi Int. Airport yesterday right after last Presidential speech from the palace in Avlabari. As the Presidents Administration reported, Saakashvili will meet with the EU officials, including the chairman of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso in Brussels.
