"I would like to appeal on you with full confidence, share my thoughts and deepest emotions, open my heart and let you see my soul, the outgoing president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili said in his last televised address to the nation from the presidential palace.

"Many of you are irritated with my hurried pace, but you have to understand me, because I always felt this disgusting breath of the past behind my neck", he said and added that on the way towards the progress and Europe his team did some mistakes, too.

"I would like to apologize to everyone who has become a victim of injustice and humiliation. I often regret I relied so much on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Prosecutor's Office authorities. As I said, I was probably too quick and impatient and affable people would call on me to be calmly," the president said, adding the judicial reform was too slow and the education reform - not sufficiently in-depth.

"I accept full responsibility for all this", Saakashvili said in his speech. However he said he would never apologize that he wanted to return pride and power to people.

"I will not apologize that I destroyed organized crime, defeated elite corruption and build new cities. I will not apologize that I have traveled the world to submit of the worlds' judgment our common cause - our country's protection from powerful enemies", he said.

Saakashvili said he is not tired and never will be. He said, he will continue to fight and work whenever he should be.

"I love you, people! Let our free, democratic and independent Georgia has a longevity", finished the president of Georgia his last speech at presidential palace in Avlabari with these words.

Right after the televised address Saakashvili left for the Airport with the Tbilisi city Mayor Gigi Ugulava. According to the Administration of the President, Saakashvili will held high-level meetings in Brussels and further details about his visit will be disclosed tomorrow morning.
