Over 90 prisoners to meet New Year at home

State Pardon Commission and the local councils of Ministries decided to release prisoners before the New Year. There are 87 prisoners who will meet the New Year at home with their families.  Among the discharged convicted, there are 4 are women. Half of them already left the detention facility and rest of them will leave the prisons before the end of the day.

State Pardon Commission reviewed more than 800 applications. The members of the Commission and the councils considered the risks of repeated offences by the prisoners. The released inmates have already served a significant part of their sentence.

By the decision of the State Pardon Commission and local councils 1,578 prisoners were released in the year 2013.
