Georgian Prime Minister, Bidzina Ivanishvili is dissatisfied with the total turnout shown at yesterdays presidential elections. Ivanishvili made this statement at his first press conference after the elections with President-elect Giorgi Margvelashvili, today.

"We are lacking political culture. Im not trying to insult anyone but the 21% of votes that the United National Movement received was a total surprise for me. You may remember my last speech on Kavkasia TV. I appealed to you to come and vote, otherwise our main opponent would have taken advantage of this. The reality is that our society is lacking political culture and responsibility but we have to (and we do) love them as they are, Ivanishvili said.

The PM also highlighted that Georgia held European elections.

"It wasnt European-like, but European elections that our country managed to hold, Ivanishvili said.

He thanked all his team and voters for their support.

The turnout at the Presidential Elections was 46.6 %. In total, 1,648,662 citizens participated in the polls.
