Georgias newly elected President will take the oath of office on November 17. According to the Georgian Constitution, inauguration of the new president must take place within three weeks after the election.

Immediately after the inauguration the power of Mikheil Saakashvili will be terminated and the new President Giorgi Margvelashvili will be able to use the authority given to him by the Constitution of Georgia.

The Ruling Party said the inauguration ceremony will be held in accordance to the countrys legislation and will not be pompous. The place of the ceremony is yet unclear. The Constitution states it should be held in Tbilisi, in front of the old Parliament building. However, as the current Parliament building is in Kutaisi, there are some speculations that the inauguration might take place outside the Capital of Georgia.

Supposedly, an organizational commission will be created by the end of the week.
