Georgia rotates three of its Ambassadors to foreign countries, as their terms finish. Foreign Affairs Minister Maia Fanjikidze provided Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili with this information at the governmental meeting on December 26.
One of the rotated diplomats is Zurab Katchkatchishvili, Georgian Ambassador to India. Also, Ketevan Bagration-Mukhranbatoni, Ambassador to the Vatican, and Shota Ghvineria, Ambassador to the Netherlands.
"None of these Ambassadors are discharged. They are just recalled from their long-term missions, Maia Panjikidze stated.
There is a change in Ukraine too. From now on, Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine Shota Ukleba will also be Georgias permanent representative to the GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development.
"Correspondingly, there was a need for the embassy to change its name and for the Ambassador to change his title, the Foreign Minister of Georgia said after the governmental meeting.
