Georgia’s military contingent remains 37 thousands

The Georgian military forces will not exceed 37 thousand soldiers in 2014 like during this year.  

Draft law project on Approval of the Number of Military Forces has been submitted to the parliament by the head of the National Security Council, Irina Imerlishvili.    

The project changes are not related to the number of reserve recruits during wartime and to the temporary stuff vacancies at the MOD.  

According to the Constitution, the amount of the military forces is being annually approved by the parliament.
