Georgia will receive a preferential financial resource of 171 million USD from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The money will be spent on infrastructural projects.

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili welcomed Claus Gerhauser, the director of the ADB Central and Western Asian Department on December 20. Garibahsvili talked about the business forum that is supposed to be held in 2014 in Georgia.

"We think that it will be possible to hold a Business Forum in the spring of 2014 in Georgia. Within the forum, more than 300 representatives of the private and state sector, development institutions, business associations, chambers of commerce, and other organizations will meet each other. Georgia has a high potential to be a business platform in the region. We hope that the ADB will help Georgia to show its potential to the ADB member countries and will become a bridge between the Asian countries and Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili said after the meeting.

Georgian Economy Minister Nodar Khaduri also attended the meeting in the Chancellery of the Georgian Government.

The Georgian officials thanked Claus Gerhauser for the ADBs help and expressed their hopes for it to last in the future too.
