President Saakashvili invited journalists to his home after voting

President Saakashvili voted alone at the Mtatsminda districts #19 polling station, stating his family members were busy with moving to a new residence and could not come. He invited journalists to his house near the polling station and promised to make further comments there.

"Lets talk there, he said to journalists.

"We all see well that the country is paused. Many trends are seen which are not good for people. This has to be minimized, he said journalists from his house.

Also, according to the president, after the presidential elections, some changes are going to happen.

"Majority of the presidents functions are quite symbolic but symbolism has also a great importance in Georgia. So, it really matters what the results of the elections will be. The future president of Georgia can create a different picture worldwide. That is why it matters who he will be, Saakashvili said.

Upon Saakashvilis arrival, a group of young people held a protest action around the #19 polling station. They stated that today is the celebration when the 9 years long Saakashvilis rule will finally come to the end.
