The first international forum on security in South Caucasus

The Hotel Holiday Inn is hosting the first international forum concerning the security issues of the South Caucasus. The conference was opened by the Chief of Joint Staff of Georgian Armed Forces, General-Mayor Vakhtang Kapanadze.

General-MayorKapanadze talked about the role of regional security during his speech and discussed the current and future reforms of the Defense Ministry. He then answered questions regarding the ISAF operations, post-ISAF period, and the ongoing reforms.

State Minister of European and Euro-Atlantic integration Alex Petriashvili and experts working in the field of defense, representatives of diplomatic corps and members of international organizations is attending the conference.

The security conference is organized by the Georgian Strategy and International Studies Fund and the Slovakian Centr for European and Euro-Atlantic Affairs.
