6-Magnitude storm expected in Batumi

A six-magnitude storm is forecast for one of the largest port cities of the Black Sea, Batumi, according to the Emergency Management Agency and Emergency Situations Department.

Although the weather has improved in Adjara, the Weather Station has also predicted frost in Batumi. A landslide occurred in the village of Zvare in the Keda Municipality, but no casualties have been reported.

The electricity is still disconnected in Batumi due to damaged transmission lines. Since yesterday, the technical brigades have been constantly at work to repair transmission lines. According to the Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze, the electricity in Batumi will be repaired before 6:00 pm today.
