The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili believes that it is important that country not only presented its achievements at the Vilnius Summit but launched a new phase in relations between Georgia and EU.
"We are about to enter the stage of concrete actions. And we are committed to turn the commitment assumed by us into concrete steps to outcomes of which will be felt our citizens, enabling them to enjoy all the benefits offered by our countrys closer ties with Europe Garibashvili said at the conference that summed up the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Vilnius Summit and discussed the EaP Roadmap after it together with government and non-government organizations at the Tbilisi Marriot Hotel on December 9.
Mulling over the Vilnius Summit Garibashvili noted that the countrys main goal is to sign the Association Agreement by September 2014 and in this regard Georgia enjoys support from the EU.
"The strong political support of the EU, its greater engagement, and assistance built upon the basic principles of differentiation and "more-for-more play a decisive role in the ultimate success of this process, Prime Minister noted.
Garibashvili also noted that the government appreciates the efforts, contribution and engagement of the EU in the issue of the conflict between Russia and Georgia.
"I would like to point out that the EU will increase its involvement in and focus on the peaceful process of conflict resolution which is very important to our countrys European and Euro-Atlantic integration so that this process in Georgia may be irreversible and ensuring against anyone swaying from this path, Garibashvili said.
