President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili conveys his condolences to President of South Africa Jacob Zuma over the death of South Africa's first black president and anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela.
Margvelashvilis letter of condolences reads as follows:
"Africa has lost its greatest son. What consoles us is that Mandelas life example let the world gain an invaluable experience. He proved once again that selfless efforts of one single person can grant freedom to millions.
On behalf of Georgian people and himself, Giorgi Margvelashvili asked Jacob Zuma to convey deep sorrow to Nelson Mandelas family and the People of South Africa.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia also expressed its deep sorrow over Mandelas death.
"Nelson Mandelas life and merit will always remain as a legendary example of bravery, tolerance, and wisdom, as stated in the Ministrys condolences letter.
