The Parliament debates on draft bill of Local Self-Government delayed

The Parliament committee debates about the government proposed draft bill of Local Self-Government of Georgia reforms was delayed as the discussions was planned to start from December 6.

According to Committee for Sector Economy and Economic Policy Zurab Tkemaladze, it made the political decision not to hurry to approve the proposed draft bill and all interested parties to be included in the debates.

The bill on Local Self-Government of Georgia was developed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and has been submitted to the Parliament for consideration. There are also the public discussions about the draft bill reforms that caused great dispute among the parties.

Even the Georgian Orthodox church vowed to prevent the bill from being adopted said that to the hastily pass of the bill will be a "threat to the country because it will cause Georgias "disintegration.

According to Zviad Dzidziguli, the PM from the ruling party said that it is unfair to blame the draft bill in separatism. "If any organization or the person finds the threat of separatism in the bill, we are ready to organize the consultations and public debates.
