Minister of Finance: Georgia’s budget for 2014 will be over 9 bill

Georgian Minister of Finance, Nodar Khaduri announced that next years budget will be 9.014 billion GEL. After the governmental meeting, Khaduri told the media that the government approved the budget project and that it will be sent to the Parliament later today.

"Today we discussed the projected state budget for 2014, which will also be sent to the Parliament. The budget is calculated at 5% growth of GDP and 3.5% deflator. We assume that nominal GDP will be 29.342 billion GEL and the total tax revenue will be 7.230billion GEL. The deficit of the budget will be 3.9%. In total, Georgias budget will spend 9.014 billion GEL next year. Said Nodar Khaduri.

According to him, funding the fields of education and science, as well as the budget for the Ministry of Healthcare will increase.

"This year, science sector will be allocated with 49million GEL, which is more than last years 18million GEL. noted the Minister of Finance.
