President Giorgi Margvelashvili arrived at Vilnius in order to attend the Eastern Partnership Summit in Lithuania.
The Georgian President is accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Maia Panjikidze, and Foreign Policy Adviser Vano Matchavariani.
Giorgi Margvelashvili will have his first meeting in Vilnius with the President of the European Investment Bank. Later tonight, President Margvelashvili will meet with the President of Latvia and the President the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
President Margvelashvili congratulated Georgians initialling Associated Agreement with EU.
"Today we stepped forward to closer the European Union that will enable the irreversible course of Georgia. I congratulate the Georgian people the countrys historical step. We have started the way which is called the countrys historical choice which means becoming the member of EU family, Margvelashvili said.
At the end of the day, the Georgian President will attend the official dinner with the UN leaders.
Friday, Giorgi Margvelashvili will give a speech at the plenary session of the Eastern Partnership Summit.
