The regional project for improving the National Food Security strategy and supporting small farmers was presented at Sheraton Metekhi Palace in Tbilisi.
The projects goal is to provide the strategies for food security and availability of food. It will be conducted in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan since 2013 till 2017.
The project is partly supported by the European Union, which invested in 2.5 million Euros. The total budget is 3.2 million Euros.
According to the first secretary of the Minister of Agriculture, David Shervashidze, the agriculture of Georgia should be stable in the nearest time.
Within the framework of the presentation, there was a prepared memorandum for Georgian Agricultural development alliance, which embraces 16 regional and international organizations.
