Two Georgian citizens remain in the pre-detention isolator in Tskhinvali, breakaway South Ossetia. Malkhaz Vanishvili, 24, and Gocha Makishvili, 28, were detained for "illegal crossing of the de facto border.
Vanishvili and Makashvili live in the outskirts of Khurvaleti, a village at the boundary line. Their family members say thats probably where the guys had been detained. There is no eye-witness. The families were informed about the fact by the local police.
According to Makashvilis mother, he is diabetic and he may at any time, need an insulin injection.
As the Director of the Georgian Interior Ministrys Information-Analytical Department, David Sujashvili said, they managed to deliver medicine for him last night.
One of the detained people, Malkhaz Vanishvili, is a grandchild of David Vanishvili, a Khurvaleti resident who is known for his radical statements against the occupants when meeting with diplomats or journalists. Sujahsvli believes this may very well be the reason for the detention.
