President Margvelashvili expressed condolences on Latvia supermarket collapse

President of Georgia George Margvelashvili has sent a telegram of condolences to his Latvian counterpart Andris Berzins over the multiple fatalities in Maxima' supermarket roof collapse in Riga, the Presidents Press Office states.

President Margvelashvili expressed condolences on behalf of the people of Georgia and conveyed his sincere words of grief and support to the families and the Latvian nation.

52 people have been killed and dozens of others injured after the roof of a large store collapsed on November 21. Rescuers continue to search for at least 30 people who may still be trapped in the rubble.

Some 500 square meters of roof caved in at the Maxima XX building.
