Today Tbilisi City Council granted names to the several nameless streets in the city.

A nameless street in Vashlijvari district was named after the famous Georgian painter Irakli Parjiani. Others were named after the Georgian geographer Teopane Davitaia, art critic and restorer Levan Rcheulishvili and an architect Tsiala Gabashvili.

Members of the City Council also discussed the problem of Skhvitaridze Street. According to the residents of the place, former Georgian soldier Giorgi Skhvitaridze didnt live in that area and they demand the street to be restored to its previous name, Zovreti Street.

City Council member, Natela Machavariani stressed that they already found a nameless street that will be named after Giorgi Skhvitaridze and Zovreti Street will regain its old name.
