Today is the last day for the current Prime Minister of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili in politics. Ivanishvili will be finished serving his duties in several hours, when Parliament gives vote of confidence to his successor, Irakli Garibashvili and the Cabinet of Ministers.
Bidzina Ivanishvili announced the beginning of his political career in October 5, 2011 with a single sentence: "I decided to create a party and take part to the 2012 Parliamentary Elections. In the next and more detailed letter, he promised the Georgian people to win the elections and resign within 2-3 years after the victory.
He founded a party "Georgian Dream, created a coalition with the same name which united many parties that were in the opposition of the previous government.
Ivanishvilis coalition won the 2012 Parliamentary Elections and he became the Prime Minister.
He kept his promise and before the October 27, 2013 Presidential elections, stated that he would leave the post as soon as the new President would be elected.
After the resignation, Ivanishvili will move to the civil sector. According to him, he will work on the improvement of this branch with the 20-year plan he developed.
