President Giorgi Margvelashvili appoints ambassadors

The main business of the new President Giorgi Margvelashvili will be an ambassadorial appointment, according to the Presidents adviser for Foreign Affairs, Vano Machavariani.

"We begin work on the ambassadorial appointment and it should be the major priority for now. said Vano Machavariani, who also affirmed his appointment to the Presidents adviser for Foreign Affairs.

Nowadays, Georgia has diplomatic relations with the 180 countries. Embassies of Georgia are officially established in 57 countries and additionally they cooperate with 42 other countries. The Consulate General functions in seven countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Georgia also has 19 Honorary Consul and five Permanent Representatives, sent to International Organizations.
