The eight-man Georgian delegation, for the Eastern Partnership (EaP) summit at the late Novembers Vilnius Summit, will be composed of the Foreign Minister Affairs Maia Panjikidze, the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alex Petriashvili, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mikheil Janelidze.
The delegation will be led by the new President Giorgi Margvelashvili.
According to Alex Petriashvili, the delegation members also will be the Foreign Affairs Ministry and President Administrations appropriate representatives.
"Georgia is among those leading Eastern Partnership countries that have successfully implemented reforms under the EU-integration agenda and moved closer to EU standards. We expect to initial the EU Association Agreement, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Areas (DC FTA) at the summit and to step up to a new level relations with the EU. That would foster transformation of the country into genuine European state, Petriashvili told Imedi TV on November 18.
The Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius will be held on 28-29 November.
