"As far as I know Saakashvili is in the US", MP Manana Kobakhidze of the Georgian Parliament from the GD said today.
"Information about if he was asked to return the state-owned aircraft is probably true because it is not possible for a private person to own state property. He is a free person, he can move freely, once again so far, - Kobakhidze said replying on a question towards her in yesterday's on air at Maestro TV.
As Mikheil Machavariani, a member of the UNM and PM said, he has had a conversation with the president day before yesterday.
"He was going to move to the US from Europe. It is his particularly personal visit. He will probably make a statement by himself. But I would like to say that he returned his aircraft by himself. He returned everything what belongs to the state, left the flat the government was renting for him. If I am not mistaken, it was Thursday when the plane flew back and returned to state service. Nobody asked for this, he did it by himself. Regarding this, there even have been some thoughts from some representatives of ruling party that he was coming and going to attend the inauguration ceremony, Machavariani said.
As Machavariani explained, the issue of attending the inauguration ceremony of the new president Margvelashvili was widely discussed in UNM and finally majority of the partys political council voted for not attending.
I myself think that in terms of statehood, it would be better to attend. However, my team members in majority ensured me it was better not to do so, Machavariani said.
