Energy Minister to be named as GD’s General Secretary

The Minister of Energy of Georgia Kakha Kaladze to be named as the General Secretary of the Georgian Dream Democratic Georgia (DGDG), a political party led by Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili.

According to Giorgi Volski, the Member of Parliament from ruling Georgian Dream coalition, Kakha Kaladze was the only candidate whose name has been discussed as the GDDGs General Secretary. "I will support Kaladzes candidate with great pleasure, Volski said.

Kaladze will replace a member of Parliament, Irina Imerlishvili, who will be appointed as the Secretary of the Georgian National Security Council.

The changes will be approved at the congress of DGDG on November 24. At the congress, the delegates will also vote the chairman of the party. As it was discussed, Irakli Garibashvili, the incoming PM will led the DGDG.
