President-elect’s 4th round of meetings with Diplomatic corps

Giorgi Margvelashvili: "The next year will be very important for Georgia."

The Presidentelect Giorgi Margvelashvili held a meeting with the diplomatic corps on November 14.

During the bilateral meeting, Azer Huseyn, Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Georgia told Margvelashvili, that the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev is not able to attend the Presidents Swearing-in Ceremony. According to the ambassador, his country will be presented by the Prime minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade.

Giorgi Margvelashvili also met with the ambassadors of Germany, France, Japan and China.

"I met with the President-elect and we discuss the strengthening of bilateral friendly affairs between our countries, said the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Japan, Toshio Kaitani. "I read him the congratulation letter from the Prime minister of Japan. He writes that Japans government approves the supreme values of Georgia, such as democracy and rule of law. Japan's Deputy Foreign Minister will attend inauguration ceremony. He will arrive in Georgia tomorrow.

"It was a friendly meeting. I gave him Angela Merkels congratulation. As for the German delegations attendance to the inauguration, I will represent it myself. said Ortwin Hennig, the ambassador of Germany in Georgia.
