Anders Fogh Rasmussen looks forward to Margvelashvili visit at NATO’s head office

General Secretary of NATO, Anders Fogh Rasmussen congratulates Giorgi Margvelsahvili on his victory in the Presidential Elections. The following text was released by press office of Margvelshvili:

"Congratulations on the victory in Elections. I want to wish you success and express will to cooperate with you in the future. This election strengthened the foundation of Democracy in Georgia even more. Concrete steps were taken towards Euro-Atlantic standards.

"Georgia is a special partner of NATO for the important contribution in ISAF mission. Let me assure you once again that NATO allies express gratitude towards Georgia, the largest participant of ISAF from non-member countries of NATO " Says Rasmussen.

He also stressed that Georgia showed huge progress for the last years and that he is sure that Margvelashvili, as a President of the country, will contribute to this process.

"It will be important, that the countrys main political parties continue to work together to achieve ambitious targets for the welfare of the Georgian people. I once again congratulate you and look forward to your visit to the head office of NATO.
