Georgian high officials may turn out to be responsible for the terrorist act in the village Khurcha on election day in 2008. "This is highly possible, based on the ongoing investigation process, Chief prosecutor Archil Kbilashvili said today.
The preliminary investigation shows that the terrorist act was planned and organized by high officials. However, Kbilashvili prefers to wait for the final results.
Two former officials of the State Security Agency had already been detained yesterday and the incident was speculated to be staged.
The attack took place on May 21, 2008, on a football field in the village of Khurcha. Three people had to be hospitalized, one of whom was seriously injured.
