President Saakashvili returned the National Flag on the dome of his Palace

The National Flag of Georgia is returned to the dome of Presidential Palace instead of the UNM flag with four hearts being presented there from yesterday morning.

As the chief of the presidents administration, Andro Barnovi stated yesterday, they needed to hoist the UNMs flag because of filming a new music video in the palace.

"Tomorrow, in the late afternoon, we will return the National Flag to the dome of the Presidents Palace, he promised.

Saakashvilis move was criticized by the Georgian government, reminding the outgoing president about the Organic Law of the country according to which a substitution for the National Flag is prohibited and against the law.

"To hoist another flag on the top of the Presidents Palace is a flagrant violation of the law. Its intolerable, when the President abuses the National symbols wrote the government in the letter following the appearance of the UNM flag on the dome of the Presidential Palace.
