The President-elect Giorgi Margvelashvili held the third round of meetings with the five diplomatic mission representatives in Georgia at hotel Tbilisi-Marriott on November 8.
Margvelashvilis conversation with the diplomats was focused on the Vilnius summit. They also talked about the Presidents Swearing-in ceremony, and the results of presidential elections.
"We discussed Vilnius summit and the post-summit period for Georgia, said Giorgi Margvelashvili, after the meeting completed. "The next year will be very important for Georgia. This period should be significant for signing the Association Agreement and for initial Free Trade Agreement.
The President-elect Margvelashvili held his first meeting with the Italian ambassador Federica Favi. They spoke about bilateral relationships between Georgia and Italy.
"Today we talked about the democratization process of Georgia, which goes on very progressively, said Federica Favi. "As for bilateral affairs, we have it already, but we long to make it stronger and closer. Italy supports Georgian European orientation.
After a consultation with the Italian ambassador, the president-elect met with the Polish, Turkish, Czech and Hungarian diplomats.
"It was very interesting for me to meet with Giorgi Margvelashvili, said Turkish ambassador to Georgia, L. Murat Burhan. "Turkey always supports Georgian territorial integrity and its European integration.
