MIA of Georgia: Crime rate decreased in 2013

MIA publishes crime statistics in 2013

According to the data presented by the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the crime rate has decreased nationwide compared to the same period of last year and the number of solved felonies has increased.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs shared statistical information on the situation in Georgia for last 10 months and for the month of October. Their data reflects the criminal situation throughout the country and in each region.

According to the figures, crime rate was dropped by 7,112 units (22.7%) in 2013 compared to the last year, whereas the number of discovered offenses has increased by 40.6% and is now 59.1%.

In October 2013, the crime rates decreased by 1004 units nationwide which is 27.6%.
