French actor and honorary citizen of Russia, Gerard Depardieu visited Georgia yesterday. According to the initial information, Depardieu remained in the airport until his transit flight to Baku, but later he was seen in a Georgian Restaurant Puris Sakhli.
Gerard Depardieu violated Georgias law on "occupied territories on July 3rd, when he entered the breakaway region of Georgia, Abkhazia from a location other than the territory of Georgia. However, according to the spokesperson of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs Nino Giorgobiani, border guards had no right to arrest him, as there was no stamp in his passport to prove that he had entered the territory of Abkhazia.
The head of public relations department of Puris Sakhli, Nutsa Malashkia confirmed that Depardieu and his five companions visited the restaurant at 1 pm.
