Georgia has seen an increase of around 14.1 % in the number of visitors which reached 480,510 in October of this year compared to the same period in 2012.
The total number of tourists in the period between January-October increased by 23.7% and reached 4,556,110 compared to 2012, according to the information of the Ministry of Internal affairs of Georgia.
From January-October 2013, arrivals of tourists reached 1,785,244, which is 17.4% higher compared to the same period in 2012 and composes 39.2% of the total number of visitors.
The ministry reports that the biggest share of non-resident visitors came from Turkey (-10%) that is followed by Azerbaijan (+13.5%), Armenia (+34.3%), Russia (+37%), Ukraine (+58.6%) and Iran (+26.7%).
The statistics show that there is an increased number of tourists from EU countries that is led by Poland, Czech, Austria, France, Italy and Germany.
