Georgian Soldiers Vote in Afghanistan

Georgian soldiers already made their decision for the Georgian Presidential Elections 2013 in Afghanistan on Sunday. 1560 ISAF mission militaries participated in voting at 2 polling stations of "Leatherneck and "Eredvi in the Helmand province.

Both voting stations were organized by the Ministry of Defense of Georgia and Central Election Commission. The two ballet boxes were moved by the armored vehicle "MRAP. The convoys security was provided by USA military helicopters.

The observers of different political parties, NGOs, and Central Elections Commission were observing the elections in Afghanistan. The ballet boxes from Afghanistan arrived to the CEC (Central Election Commission) at Tbilisi today. The votes will not be counted until after the polling stations close across Georgia on October 27.
