Condé Nast Traveler, the travel advice magazine of the New York-based publishing, on Monday promoted Georgia in social media as one of the best travel destinations to pick this year for solo getaways.
“The world has never been more accommodating to solo travellers”, the magazine said in its Instagram post, before highlighting hikes in the Caucasus Mountains as an option for tourists.
It also recommended visiting northern Georgia's mountainous Kazbegi region, the central-western resort town of Borjomi, the ancient Vardzia cave city in the south, as well as monuments and wineries across the country.
The selection comes from the travel magazine with over 3.2 million followers on its social media, with the Georgian destinations picked alongside locations in Indonesia, Ireland, Mexico, Rwanda, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
