BBC has published an article about Georgian wine, its history, challenges and future prospects.

The main question and the angle of the article is whether Georgian unique wines will be too challenging and unique for most drinkers in the world.

Author of the article Natalia Golysheva shared her own experience of drinking Georgian wine made in qvevris, a large lemon-shaped clay pot that ferments grape juice into wine.

The article quotes Koka Archvadze, deputy director of the Tsinandali estate who told BBC that tasting Georgian qvevri wine is a challenge for the newcomer, “but when you get through the initial shock, it is rewarding”.
