Wanderlust: “5 reasons to visit Tbilisi, Georgia”

British travel magazine Wanderlust is publishing an article about the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

The article suggests five top reasons to visit Tbilisi as soon as possible.

"Now reachable with new direct flights from London, the charming Georgian capital, Tbilisi, offers a hidden treat at every turn, as well as great food, wine and friendly locals. You'll want to go now”, the article says.

Tbilisi architecture is named as one of the reasons to visit the city.

"[Tbilisi] is one of the most picturesque, a beguiling mix of natural beauty and the dishevelled charm of the crumbly old town and art nouveau buildings falling into disrepair”, the article says.

Famous Georgian food and wine are also mentioned among the reasons.

The article says that wine is central to Georgia’s national identity and "for good reason”. It stressed that Georgians have been producing "excellent wine” for over 8,000 years.

The thermal baths of Tbilisi is also on the list.
