European Union is Georgia’s top trading partner for the past year. Learn more about Georgian foreign trade data of 2014 in an infographics created by the project Let’s Meet Europe, represented by the European Union Delegation to Georgia.

Georgia’s foreign trade turnover saw positive movement in 2014; it increased five percent year-on-year (y/y) to €8.55 billion.

Figures released by Georgia’s state statistics office Geostat showed exports reached €2.14 billion, while imports amounted to €6.44 billion in the same period.

The EU was Georgia’s top trade partner in 2014 (with 26 percent of all trade); of which Germany took the leading position with €400 million (17.8 percent).

Georgia’s trade turnover with the 28 EU states was €2.24 billion, which was an increase of four percent y/y.
