Georgia needs to become a NATO member.

Georgia’s Minister of Defence Tinatin Khidasheli stresses this idea in an exclusive interview with EuroDialogueXXI – an international Internet-portal of individual and cooperative partners of the OSCE, CIS and EU member-states.

"The main objective remains unchanged - we need to become a member of NATO, and we will do everything for speeding up this process,” said the Georgian Minister when commenting on her expectations of next year’s NATO Summit in Warsaw.
"We believe that because of the Summit no barriers in relations between NATO and Georgia will exist and Georgia’s progress will be stated openly and boldly in an understandable language. We, all of us together, need tangible results. We all have to prove that more NATO in Georgia is a fact.”

Additionally Khidasheli responded to questions about Georgia-United States and Georgia-Russia relations as well as other regional and global security issues.
