Georgia’s positive relationship with China is undoubtedly bilateral.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the Dalian State Guesthouse on Thursday, within the framework of the World Economic Forum.
An article by leading Chinese English-language newspaper China Daily reviewed the meeting between Garibashvili and Keqiang, and stated China was enthusiastic about enhancing relations with Georgia.
Li expressed his hope that the two countries will start the substantive negotiation of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) as soon as possible, so as to promote bilateral trade to a new level,” reported the newspaper.
"China is willing to integrate its strategies with Georgia and to take an active part in infrastructure construction, including port, highway and railway,” the Chinese Premier told the Georgian Prime Minister.
China Daily said the two nations had "mutual respect” and "treat each other equally”, while Premier Keqiang added China respected the development path chosen by the people of Georgia.
