An interview with Georgia’s Parliament Chairman Davit Usipashvili was published on the Bloomberg website on March 21.
In the interview, Usupashvili highlighted the resemblance of the situation of Georgia and Ukraine toward Russia. The way Russia treated post-Soviet neighbouring countries was related.
Furthermore, Usupashvili emphasized importance of support from the international community but stated they were hesitant in their real readiness to take the risk of confronting Russia.
Russia signed a peace treaty with Georgia in 2008 and has never met its terms or paid a price for doing so, Usupashvili [said] at a German Marshall Fund conference in Brussels.
