"Monument of Russian - Georgian Friendship a feat of engineering at the time of its construction in 1799 -1817."

A documentary photo-story on the Sochi Winter Olympic Games was highlighted in Jamie Burke’s article published on the Milk Made online edition. Tales of corruption, violence and terrorism flow through Burke’s article, which analyses a piece by Arnold van Bruggen accompanied by an intriguing photographic introspective by photographer Rob Hornstra. The article was published in the art section of fashion media Milk Made, February 12.

Holding "word class” sporting event near breakaway region of Georgia was "very courageous”, Burke emphasized.

The decision to hold the Winter Games in a subtropical resort town—ice-skating under palm trees—is daring to say the least. But to do so on the border of a conflict zone is even bolder. Not to mention on the other side of the mountains is the North Caucasus, where a war between separatists and pro-Russian security forces has been raging for years; and terrorism and female suicide bombers are commonplace. Sochi is far south Russia, located on the Black Sea coast near to the border of Georgia/Abkhazia.|/
