Uniting with the European Union is irreversible and the only possible outcome for Georgia, and the country has more power than Ukraine to withstand pressure from Russia, said Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in an interview with Agency France Press (AFP), published on February 4.
Georgia "wants to sign as soon as possible the Association Agreement with the EU," if possible by August, Garibashvili said in Brussels, where he met Presidents of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and Commission President José Manuel Barroso.
