The death of Georgia’s former President and Soviet Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnadze is attracting attention of global media.
In a piece on Radio Liberty, journalist Antoine Blua said Shevardnadze was a leader who helped end the Cold War and finished his domestic political when he resigned in 2003.
Ruling the country is not an ordinary business, but this is an art, a science, Shevardnadze was quoted as saying.
Not everyone can rule a country. I have great experience in ruling the country, but it would not be true if I say that I ruled the country in an ideal way.
