The first video of Georgia's national rugby team training with their counterparts from the England squad has emerged on the web, showing the massive scrum of the Lelos facing the hosts in London.

Released by the BeanymanNews sports media platform, the video follows the action on a pitch of Latymer Upper School in the capital, where the two sides held their recently arranged encounter.

The visiting players tested their skills against the World Rugby ranking's second-placed team in scrums and other aspects of open play.

Arranged following a proposal by England head coach Eddie Jones, the three-day training sessions were scheduled to enable the two sides to benefit from facing each other.

Jones was keen to test his players against what he called "the strongest scrum pack in the world” In a conversation with The Telegraph last month.

Georgia were just the sort of scrum we needed to scrum against — strong, scrummed in a different way".

It was an excellent session for us. They really enjoyed it. It was fantastic, brilliant", the Australian said in his post-training comments to the newspaper on Tuesday.

On his part, Milton Haig, Jones' counterpart for the Lelos, saw the training as an opportunity to learn from the host team’s organisation and management, among other topics.

For England, the joint sessions come in the week following their 12-6 win against Wales on Saturday, while Georgia crushed Belgium in a Rugby Europe match that ended 47-0 in western Georgian city of Kutaisi the same day.

The Lelos have been looking for opportunities to play against the world’s top sides to build on their momentum of constantly improving performance in recent years.
