Have ideas about how to improve the capital city of Georgia?
You can send your best thoughts for making life in Tbilisi better to the Mayor of the city via the new online portal idea.tbilisi.gov.ge.
To get involved, all you have to do is register on the website, submit your idea and if your idea gets a majority of votes, it will be sent to Tbilisi City Hall for further discussions.
The discussion process is divided into four stages.
At the first stage, the administrators of the website will discuss the new idea.
The second stage means voting – citizens will be free to see all registered ideas and to vote for their favourite one.
At the third stage the Mayor of Tbilisi will make a decision as to whether the specific idea will be brought to life or not.
And finally, the fourth stage, where the structural units of the Tbilisi City Hall will discuss the possibility of the implementation of the idea.
There are 13 different categories on the web portal. The citizen should choose the specific category following the content of his/her idea and register the idea there.
Tbilisi Mayor, Kakha Kaladze, who today presented the new web portal, said that the main goal of the project ‘Your Idea for Tbilisi Mayor’ was to involve as many citizens of Tbilisi as possible to develop the Georgian capital together.
