Defence ministers of the Train Advise Assist Command – North, which provides assistance to Afghan national defence in the frame of the NATO Resolute Support Mission (RSM), have met in Brussels to discuss regional challenges and make plans for future peace activities.
The defence ministerial was organized by Germany’s Defence minister.
The defence ministers spoke about the military-political situation in the northern region of Afghanistan.
Georgia’s Defence Minister Levan Izoria highlighted that Georgia remains faithful to its NATO obligations and continues to participate in the Alliance’s peacekeeping missions.
Ministers attending the event praised Georgian soldiers’ professionalism and their efforts to defend the German consulate in Afghanistan from an attack last year.
Georgia provides 885 soldiers for Resolute Support Mission.
