Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday said his Government’s relations with the United States would be “qualitatively rebooted” with the involvement of Robin Dunnigan, the US Ambassador to Georgia, starting next year.

At a press conference held in the Government Administration, Kobakhidze also noted “unfortunately” Dannigan had “no way to qualitatively change anything at the moment” in relations between the two states, but added he “respected and appreciated” the Ambassador’s “attitude” toward the country.

Personally, I respect her very much and appreciate her pragmatic and rational attitude. Unfortunately, she does not have the opportunity to change anything qualitatively at this stage, but with her, with her involvement, including her personal qualities, we are sure that we will be able to restart relations qualitatively from next year”, he emphasised.
