Georgian Economy Minister, Turkish Energy Minister sign Memorandum of Understanding

Levan Davitashvili, the First Vice Prime Minister and Economy Minister of Georgia and Alparslan Bayraktar, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the energy sector between Georgia and Turkey.

The Memorandum was signed within the scope of the official visit of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to Turkey, and aims to strengthen and deepen the existing partnership between the two countries, the Government’s press office said.

Under the Memorandum, the two countries will share experience in renewable energies, energy efficiency, infrastructure digitisation, and reduction of carbon emissions.

The ceremony of signing the memorandum was attended by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
